In November, OpenBooks will publish a book by Benjamin Labatut, the Chilean daredevil whose story revolves around the Hungarian polymath János Neumann. The author - who, at just 29, has won some of the most prestigious literary prizes - is visiting Hungary between 28 November and 2 December, and you and five of your guests will have the chance to meet him for a private dinner. One of Labatut's most famous fans is former US President Barack Obama, who added one of his books to his Twitter reading list in 2021, and from there it was a direct route to the New York Times bestseller list.
In addition to the private dinner mentioned above, you'll also be invited to a private OpenBooks event. Both evenings will also include a chat with Ádám Halmos, who - after 10 years with Libri - has set up a new publishing house, OpenBooks. He has been joined by authors such as Albert-László Barabási, Edith Eva Eger, Péter Gárdos, András Kepes and Philip Zimbardo.
